Childhood Immunisations

I understand the distress that vaccination can cause for parents.

While many private health providers have encouraged parents to seek separate measles vaccination rather than the MMR vaccination, it is after great consideration, that I recommend the MMR vaccination.

Single mumps vaccination is not available.

Failure to vaccinate would expose any child not vaccinated with the MMR vaccine to the risk of mumps and its associated serious complications and potential long-term disability. It is for this reason and the lack of evidence to associate the MMR vaccination with any significant health problems, including the autistic spectrum disorders,  that I advise all parents to have their children immunized using the NHS schedule.
