Sarah Prunty
I have worked for most of my working life in the care sector. For the past sixteen years I have worked as a therapist/counsellor/Co-ordinator within two stress centres - one in South Lanarkshire and one in Glasgow, working mainly with people who were ill due to acute or chronic stress.
I believe that for a person to live a healthy life, they need to take care of themselves, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually (energy level). Creating time and space for oneself is often difficult to do.
Through the therapies I offer my intent is to create a safe and accepting environment, where you can begin to unwind and experience time and space for self.
Supervision
I believe that my role as a supervisor is to create a safe, acceptin and real environment where, within our therapeutic relationship, you (as counsellor or therapist) are able to explore at a relational depth, what is happening or not happening within your relationship with your clients.
I hold true to the Person Centred philosophy; that each of us, with the correct support and acceptance, has the capacity to find our own truth and live from this place.
I follow B.A.C.P Code of Ethics.
I am a member of:
- Complementary Therapy Association (CThA)
- Person Centred Therapy Scotland (PCT)
- British Association of Counselling & Psycotherapy MBACP (Accred) UKRCP
