Sexual Health Screening Service

At Merchant City Medical Practice, we understand that issues relating to sexual health can be difficult to deal with in the confines of the traditional general practice. One of the main difficulties relates to lack of anonymity, and our surroundings in the Natural Health Service give our patients anonymity in a City Centre clinic used for a wide range of problems rather than resorting to the (only) specialist sexual health clinic in the area.

We recognise that these clinics provide excellent service of care, but it is difficult for some patients to make and attend appointments with confidence.

All patients at Merchant City Medical will be treated with the greatest respect and sensitivity knowing that confidentiality is our utmost concern. The clinic provides tests for a wide range of sexually transmitted infections, and the team at Merchant City Medical will communicate results to you in a quick and confidential manner.

Merchant City Medical also provides appropriate treatments for a range of conditions, testing for Hepatitis C, HIV, gonorrhoea and Chlamydia; and arranging treatment for genital warts and other infections.
